New Front Cover

These are new front covers.

 

They are cast using a CNC pattern made from CAD drawings and solid models of the original front cover cut from a Corvair bell housing.

 

Final machining assures perfect fit to the case.

New Aluminum Pushrod Tubes

 

These are new pushrod tubes.

 

They are machined from billet

6061 T6 bar stock.

 

Greater wall thickness than original thin walled steel tubes will resist dents and damage.

Liners are centrifugally cast for a better microstructure than the original cylinders.

 

They have a groove with a split ring at the case end and a step at the head end. The aluminum cylinder with cooling fins is slipped over the liner between the two.

The cast iron liner is clamped between the case and the cylinder and expands at the same rate as the head bolts. 

 

The aluminum cylinder with the cooling fins is free to expand at operating temperature.
